SATAN THE PRINCE OF FALLEN ANGELS (Six) PART ONE - REVELATION 12:7-9INTRODUCTION: As we study angels we need to know about the prince of the fallen angels, the angel Satan. In this lesson we will look at a primary text which inform us about Satan. I. SATAN, MICHAEL, ISRAEL, JESUS AND THE CHURCH- REV 12 A. Revelation 12:1-6 the Red Dragon, the woman, and the child 1. The Dragon is Satan and \ or those following him.- Rev 12:9a. Rev 13:1-3 by the authority of the Dragon b. Stars of heaven are angels- 2. The Child is Jesus Christa. Isaiah 9:6-7 the ruler b. Isa 11:1-10 the rod c. Psa 2:7-9 the rod of iron d. Rev 19:11-16 the ruler with the rod of iron e. Rev 2:7-9 Given to Jesus by his Father and he will give to us that overcome. 3. The woman is Israela. Sun, Moon, and Twelve Stars – Gen 37:9 b. Descendants of Abraham are stars on earth- Duet 1:10 Ez 32:7 etc.. c. Jesus is a Star- Num 24:17 d. God's wife in labor- Jer 3:1, 6-10, 4:30-31 4. The sequence and event described:a. 1/3 of heaven’s stars cast to earth b. Israel is under the control of Satan c. Satan is trying to destroy Jesus after his birth- Matt 2:1-20 d. Jesus is born to rule, goes to Heaven with Jehovah Ax 1:9-11 2:32-36 e. The woman flees- Romans chase Jews beginning 63 A.D. destroying many communities including Jerusalem in 70 AD. NOTE: Continues in part 2 |
